Nothing for me or the wife but that's okay. My boy drew a deer tag at the Washita NWR on Nov 1-2 his first time applying. I'm more excited then anytime I've ever drawn and it's just a doe tag. -

Picking days to hunt
I went B. I've noticed hunting in NM the first two days will be busy then things will slow down as the week starts. I'd rather be there on those last few days to the bitter end with pack out time then have a extra day of scouting. Honestly anything you turn up in a day and a half of scouting... -
2024 controlled hunts
Goodluck guys looks like today will be the day. Results aren't released yet but my elk points have been updated so it's going on now. Another year with no Oklahoma elk tag! Excited to see if my son drew anything this is the first year I let him apply. -

What's on the smoker today?
Grew up eating ketchup based KC style bbq sauce almost exclusively. Probably wasn't till my 20s before I had Carolina style sauce and absolutely love it for pork. I also eat salt and vinegar potato chips so have a high tolerance for vinegar. I have found it's not for everyone and a good ketchup...- WildWill
