7600 Makeover
I made it 14.5" I'm 6'4" and my upland shotgun is 15.5" which is perfect for that kind of shooting. I keep my waterfowl shotgun a little shorter than that because I tend to be wearing bulkier clothing when duck hunting. I left it on for 4 or 5 hours at a time, but still found it took a lot of work to get the finish off. It did work, though, so I guess no real complaints. I looked into that. Was thinking that maybe turning it into a .338-06 was the solution, but my smith told me that the pitting in the barrel that is likely affecting accuracy, is in the chamber as well. So, it seems like a new barrel is the only solution.- Dougfirtree

Punk Rock Hunt Talkers
The drummer for the Gorilla Biscuits is an acquaintance of mine. I too grew up on many of the punk bands of the 80's and 90's. Favorites included Dead Kennedy's, Operation Ivy, Minor Threat, Bad Religion... Fun stuff, but it does seem like we're more wired for that music as teenagers..- Dougfirtree
