I have several Leupolds, some with the CDS, they have always worked when I needed them. Did have one in which the ocular lens came loose, it was fixed in a timely manor and has been fine since. I have some other brands and they have been good too.
That is good to know. I shot 3 deer this past season with the 139 HORN Inter-BOND and was VERY pleased with the terminal performance from them. Shame they no longer make them but I did find a couple more boxes so should be set for a while.
I too tire of all the B/S surrounding the manbun, but it does allow the longer bullets to be used in a short action rifle unlike the Swede. Only real advantage I see other than the SAMMI specs for chambering are pretty tight which does help accuracy overall.
Bought my first piece of land, 60 acres, 31 years ago, have added 295 acres in the years since. Never regretted it for 1 second. Built my home on it. Have enjoyed every minute of owning and improving it. I can walk out my door and enjoy the fruits of my labor, whether just going for walks with...
Add me to the party that had one of those pencil thin barrels that would not shoot. Mine was lucky to hit a 2 inch group. Replaced it with a standard 24 inch stainless take off. I missed the light weight but now gun shoots most loads 1 to 1/2 groups. Still not my most accurate rifle by far but...
I do not think you need big diesel power to pull under 10,000 pounds, but I also like the way a 3/4 ton truck handles weights approaching 10,000 pounds. Have you considered a 3/4 ton gasser?
Picked up my first 7mm 08 this past summer. Although I have had it's bigger brother, a 280 Rem since I was 14. Sorry I waited so long! Sweet shooting round. Did not take me long to find an excellent shooting load with a 139 Hornady Interbond. Goes over the screens @ a touch over 2800 fps. Very...
I have a 480 Ruger SR, 7 1/2 inch barrel. I never felt it recoiled much worse than my 629 44 mag with 4 inch barrel. I have never fired the 460 or 500 Smith's. I do not care to pack around the 480 Ruger finding it bulky and heavy. The Smith rides much nicer on my hip. 300 grain hard cast semi...
I have owned Ram trucks since 2012, one 2012 model which I traded in 2020 for another. Both have been flawless. I owned mostly GM for 30 years prior to that and had a few issues during warranty but all were taken care of. Owned one Toyota, worst vehicle I ever owned. Traded it with 22,000 miles...
It makes no sense to me to take a svelte quick handling rife like a Tikka T3X compact and then ruin it's fine handling qualities by sticking a big heavy scope on it. Even the 3x9 is larger than I would prefer. A 1.5 x 5 class scope is perfect on this class rifle, 2.5x8 tops.
There are...
Good Day to all. I have been reading here for a while and decided to make it official. I am retired, been hunting for 55 years. Not a world wide hunter by any means but have taken elk in Colorado and Wyoming, caribou in Quebec, pigs in Florida and deer, black bear and turkey in my home state of...
