I have a Weston #12, 1 h/p grinder. Love it. Can grind a whitetail in no time, and easy to clean. Paired with the weston 15lb sausage stuffer, I can get a deer from the meat pole to the freezer in less than an hour.
Outfitters should not be given different treatment than anyone else. They knew the rules and violated the rules. Hopefully others get the message and follow the law.
I used to own bluetick coonhounds, but the days of me chasing ringtails at night are over. Moved to labs. Have 2 black labs, both English style. First pic is from our summer vacation last year to Wyoming, 2nd pic is the day we brought Finn home. That pretty much shows his personality still.
My Remington 870 Express really likes Brenneke KOs. I tried 4 or 5 others and the best patterns were from the Brennekes. My brothers 870 worked best with Hornady SSTs and dads liked Remington Copper Solids.
Overcharging can be a problem if you aren't careful. That's the main reason I weigh every powder charge and keep my batches small. I find it relaxing to reload, so no sense in rushing something and potentially causing injury down the road.
To the OP, get a manual. I load mostly Hornady...
I have 3 swedish Mauser that I have shot the blue box ppu in. All went bang. Not terrible ammo, mainly I wanted to punch some holes in paper, get the guns close, then reload and sight in with hand loaded ammo. I really like Nosler BT 140 gr with IMR 4064 out of my custom bench rifle built on...
The NRA still does trainings, albeit in a reduced capacity. They offer some LEO trainings that are hard to get into, usually they required advanced certifications and/or SWAT trainings. I looked into the NRA instructor course when NYS passed a law that every handgun permit holder needed to go...
I've only ever eaten a Coho post spawn, won't do that again. The filets tasted like trash, even smoked they were not good.
Not sure if it's still the same, but when I was in college at SUNY Morrisville, the Salmon River hatchery in NYS used to put the post spawn salmon in a dumpster and local...
I received a similar survey from Polaris after I bought my SxS. They had hypothetical questions like, if Polaris didn't sell the model I bought, what manufacturer would I have gone with. Also questions like engine size, seating and power train. All hypothetical and out there type questions...
Hi all, like the title says, I'm new here and from NY. No, not NYC, actually about as far from NYC as one can get and still technically be in NY. I'm from Western NY, about an hour and 10 minutes south of Buffalo.
Been hunting since I was 14, so 24 years now, mostly whitetails with gun and...
Welcome from NY. Also been reading a while and made it official as well. Glad to see others from the northeast, I was starting to feel like a fish outta water.
