    Don't is my first suggestion. First question is what species of duck? If there must be a brine I'd have some apple cider vinegar herbs of your choosing and a touch of brown sugar. Consider checking Hank Shaws tea smoked duck recipe.

    one bucket of potatoes, couple of the winter squash varieties, dent corn rolling along. Garden is getting pummeled by the heat, zucchini is about run its course, tomatoes are battling fungus, cucumbers dealing with powdery mildew but still producing, second run of beans are producing. Sweet...

    Couple of the winter squash putting on fruit, tomato is showing some color, one planting of dent corn is starting to tassle. Will be battling pickle worms the next couple days. They have suddenly shown up. Putting away some pickles from the cucumber bushes finally.
