A buddy of mine insisted that he teach me how to fly fish. As someone who's always found the trout-bro culture unattractive I was reluctant to go along with it. It took about 6-8 sporadic days of fishing across the last couple years but I finally started to get the hang of it this weekend.- jt13

PA Sunday Hunting ban repealed?
Someone in the scenario you lined out earler in the thread, trespassing and a shooting at deer on a Sunday without landowner permission while you're out walking your dog, would be in violation of 3-5 different laws. The PA trespassing laws changed over 4 years ago to increase penalties, make trespassing a primary offense, and add the ability to post land with purple paint. The penalty for a first offense of trespass while hunting is a $250-500 fine, a second offense is up to $3000 and 6 months in prison...- jt13

Depends on what you plan on using it for. However generally, no, 18 inches isn't too short to use for hunting -

He had a local gunsmith clean it up for him, reputable guy that knows what he's doing but apparently hasn't worked on many 88's. Hunters Livid Over Apparent ‘Thrill Killing’ Of Wyoming Elk Left To Rot
Had the same conversation with a rancher near Thermopolis that was referred to me by the local biologist. Biologist had relayed that he had been complaining incessantly about elk damage. Turns out he wanted $3000 for 2 people for 2 days of access to hunt cows.
