    Muley Freak in trouble?

I'm fully convinced, after reading "NightForce's" replies, that MuleyFreak the entity is actually the one running their social media, at least replying to the comments. It sounds like Erik's phrasing and style, the big tell will be if the tone changes going forward. I would also like to see...

    Rimfire Rifle Recommendations

I have a Diamondback Tactical 4-16x44 FFP on my T1x that is set of for walking around hunting, its a great scope for mimicking a more expensive target turret scope. It has the DIP flush fit mag bases to make it more handy, and a TBAC Takedown 22 can. My T1x that is set up for bench shooting...

    Suppressor

That is a legacy suppressor design, several companies made them, they are typically associated with military use. Ops Inc and Allen Engineering are probably the best known, its usually called an over the barrel design. Amtac makes them now as does Griffin and numerous other boutique builders...

    Rimfire Rifle Recommendations

The T1x fits in the same stocks as a regular Tikka T3, the only thing really smaller is the actual bolt and magazine.

    Rimfire Rifle Recommendations

I have 2 of the Tikka T1x, they are an awesome little gun, highly recommend getting one, especially if you already have other Tikkas. Not much more fun than a suppressed 22 bolt gun.

    NFA Wait Times

Direct thread is somewhat prone to working loose during use, and is less repeatable to zero when you remove the can and put it back on. Taper mounts are really resistant to working loose, and they typically return to zero. The taper mounts I use are also a brake, they help reduce wear on the...

    NFA Wait Times

For me, taper mount is the only way to go, especially if you ever need to use the gun without a can. The Griffin system offers the widest selection of thread options, and you can put them all into any HUB can. I have a bunch of Griffin's Sportsman series can for hunting, economical, light...

Another one of Paul’s great work.

I should have brought by my 338-06 Tikka with the important parts on the correct side so we could take a mirrored picture with them.

    .338-06 Build Completed

Yeah, was supposed to be G1. Still crazy high.

    .338-06 Build Completed

Man, that 210 is so tempting for my 338-06, but it simultaneously makes me want to sell it and build a 338-300wsm. I hope the .488 G1 that .250 G7 converts to on the 210is correct. The .611 G1 its on the 225 Etip that I've been shooting makes for a really effective load.

    custom rifle suggestions

I didn't frame it, because it does that consistently, but I did save pictures for posterity. Paul doesn't know how to turn out crap work, he's a really skilled machinist. We're all blessed that he went full time doing something he loves and is exceptional at. I'll echo what someone else said...

    custom rifle suggestions

It’s a Model 7 footprint, uses a model 7 trigger and bottom metal so I consider it a 7. The original plan was to use a Remington action, but PTG messed that up twice, and another factory action couldn’t be blueprinted so enter Defiance to save the project. I picked the M7 because it’s even...

    custom rifle suggestions

Paul does stellar work, I'm embarking on a new project with him myself, after I pick up the one with him currently. If you're looking for someone who really specializes in full custom hunting rifles, you really need to consider @van franke of Plains Precision Firearms. He built my Defiance...

    Punk Rock Hunt Talkers

Or maybe a bad penny always turns up? Or maybe in GG’s own words: "…you don't get what you expect—you get what you deserve."

    Punk Rock Hunt Talkers

We all find our own place within a genre. The Offspring made me ignore my overbearing parents’ wishes that I didn’t listen to them, but I settled in a little more hardcore than that overall. IMO the real unfriendly punk wasn’t on the radio much anyway, you had to seek that stuff out.
