Sorry- I meant numbers of who applied vs licences drawn. Might be too early. I didn't put in this year but wanted to see what the new units might look like for application success.
I grew up and spent my life in Colorado. I just moved 3 years ago to Kentucky! Cost of living is one of lowest in country. Coming from Colorado I was able to pretty much pay cash. I live in a town of 70k people with a mid major university. Tons of bars and restaurants, great schools...
Oregon is the bomb! I took a long trip out there one summer and all my friends said get ready for tree huger nation! I was shocked at atv, American flag flying, deer/elk heads on every wall and business, etc... It was amazed. I would have moved to Banden in a heart beat if I could!
Grew up Northern Front range. I 100% agree. I left for love 3 years ago after 50 years but I'll never go back and I planned on Wyoming or Northern New Mexico once I retired. Colorado has changed for the worse!
SB3 Defeated!
With the close of the general session last night, SB3 effectively died in the House Committee on Committees!
There’s an extremely small chance the bill could reappear in the veto session. However, there would be no opportunity to override a veto at that point and we are certain...
The eliminate hunting groups are alive in Kentucky too

3 unweighted and 13 weighted My 2nd year as a non resident but I plan on applying for Deer and Elk as well so you are absolutely right. No harm there. Just keep applying and hope for the best. If I draw it is still cheaper than going on an outfitted hunt. I spent 50 years in the area I am...
My 1st and 2nd lab (I've had 4) were the same way. I could go out on opening day and they would retrieve wounded ducks and geese everyone shot and didn't bother to look for. I almost hesitates to shoot because I knew I was coming home with my limit.
My dream would be a bull but I'm in my 50's now so I want to have a successful bull hunt sooner than later. I have a buddy that has a good friend that has a place in Alberta. I might go that route and cash in on a cow in Colorado.
Thats what I was thinking too. Although when I moved I did not know there were resident only units. My elk unit is 161. I saw great moose every year. This unit is resident only. I am going to apply for the east side of north park I think. I appreciate it!
Yes- Is it worth it. So Colorado uses a point system lottery style. If I have 13 points I get 13 tickets in the bucket, someone else has 4 points gets 4 tickets in bucket. But the 4 point could still get drawn ahead of me by luck So essentially the system just buys you more chances does not...
Question?: I was a Colorado resident for many years. I built up my moose points to 13. I stopped applying for points when they started charging and went to hybrid system. I am now an out of state non resident. I applied last year but really debating this year. I hunted Deer last year in...
CZ is the most amazing gun I shot in my 52 years. I bought a Quail 20 ga and it is the bomb. O/U Looks like it is a $3k gun but I bought for $600 My buddies marvel at my shooting and its not me its the gun literally. That thing shoots!
