The tenon is the length of threads up to the shoulder. So you'll want to pull the measurement from muzzle face to shoulder. -

I'd talk to Hughes and see if he can cut one with more counterbore. If not, you can mail it to me and I'll take care of it. One more thing to check is the thread tenon length compared to the depth of the adaptor. -

the adapter should thread tight against the barrel shoulder. Most suppressor adapters these days have a small counterbore to account for the lack of a relief cut on the barrel threads. It'll be easier to correct the adapter than it will be to correct the barrel. Here is an example of what your... -

CVA ramrod guide clips and loading tips
Keep your palmsaver with your reloads and leave the jag towards the muzzle. Or have the jag turned down to the same diameter as the rod. I've done the latter to a few now and it's worked pretty well.- p_ham

Mauser- 35 Whelen, 30-06, 280 I think they're all stainless though. Tikka blued new take offs - 7 rem mag, 30-06, 308, 6.5 cm midweight Tikka stainless- 308 Howa Mini- 6mm arc sporter contour A few Marlin barrel in 30-30 and 444. Also a .458 blank and a spiral flute 6.5 blank. -

Smoker PID conversion?
I've got a couple of inkbird PIDs that I use regularly. I haven't had any issues with either. You'll want around a 6" thermocouple, and an SSID with a heat sink to handle the load circuit.- p_ham

Guidance on choosing a new barrel or new rifle
Those Criterion barrels shoot really well. Look into X-Caliber and Preferred also. I'd stay away from carbon unless you like the look. -
